Distribution of books to the adopted children 2011

After returning from my ministry in the Radio Vatican Rome (from 1996 – 2001), I started a scheme at Mother of Mines Shrine, Oorgaum, KGF, to help the poor children for their education considering the plight of the poor mining families. I was moved with compassion for them.

Hence I began with 57 children in 2004 and according to my record, many children have completed their 10th standard and some of them have reached university studies and some work in different enterprises. I am sure this charitable scheme continues for long, of course, by your support.

These children receive admission fee, monthly fee, note books, text books, shoes, belt and tie, school uniform and colour dress, medical assistance and a Christmas dress. Many children lack basic facilities to study in their homes and thus they deserve a common DECENT shelter for their better formation and life.

My self Effort: Sadly KGF has large size of widows since men folks died of mining accidents as well as due to many social problems. Hence taking the suffering of our Christian widows into consideration, I felt a strong inspiration from the Lord to build a house for old widows and a home for poor boys for their shelter and study. The Good Lord has named it as ‘THE LORD’S NEST’. In all my personal interest and compassion for the people particularly the school going children and old poor widows of KGF, I am taking all possible initiative to establish a project for these less fortunate lots.

The Lord’s Nest has two phases: Building up of A HOME FOR THE AGED (building plan seen in the brochure) AND A HOME FOR THE POOR BOYS (To be realized in the future).
